Tuning In (Gardens)
By Sabine Vogel
For musicians, dancers, performers, visual artists, interested people
Language: English
Limited to 10 people
Tuning-in means feeling places, the environment or one’s situation, with diferent senses and layers of awareness. ‘Tuning-in’ is connecting to the outside world, but it is also connecting to inward landscapes and spaces: the resonating inner self, intuitions, emotions, and learned practices. When we enter a wood or a rolling stretch of open field, we become part of it. We are always part of a landscape. We are in an eco-systemic partnership. The moment we are there, we influence it, and it influences and aOects us, and this feedback loop is the basis for the creative work we might do in any particular place.
*Bring whatever you would like to use: instruments, paper, pens, costumes… Keep in mind that we will be outdoors and will be creating and playing outdoors.

Building Musical Instruments with Recycled Materials (T2)
By Professor Gilberto Ramírez Lucero
Language: Spanish
Limited to 10 children
This workshop aims to raise children’s awareness of environmental issues through the creative use of recycled materials, transforming them into musical instruments. In this way, it promotes the responsible use of resources, while encouraging artistic expression, collaborative work, and ecological awareness.
The workshop allows participants to:
- Explore the relationship between art and sustainability.
- Recognize the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling in their daily lives.
- Strengthen their creativity and motor skills through music.
- Participate in a collective construction process that culminates in sound production.
As a result of the work, at the end there will be a collective concert in which the children will perform musical pieces with the instruments they have made. This activity not only highlights the transformative potential of art in environmental contexts, but also becomes a symbolic act: showing how, from discarded materials, it is possible to create new sounds, new ideas, and more sustainable futures. It also aims to promote environmental education, artistic creativity, and community participation, inspiring children to be agents of change in the face of the challenges of climate change.

Introduction to 3D Spatial Audio (Sonidario)
By Dr. Garth Paine
For electroacoustic composers
Language: English

Participants will explore the principles of higher-order ambisonics, from encoding and decoding workflows to practical calibration and software tools, before engaging in a practical session that demonstrate real-time spatialization and creative sound design. Alongside the technical training, the workshop emphasizes acoustic ecology, spatial aesthetics, psychoacoustics, and compositional strategies, inviting participants to experiment with sound as a sculptural and narrative medium. By the end, attendees will have both practical skills and artistic insights to expand their own spatial audio practice.
Requirements:
*Experience with DAWs and electroacoustic composition, and have prior practice in soundscape and spatial audio.
*Commitment is required to attend the previous festival activities.
